EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY
We take your pet’s health and safety very seriously and we have a plan for sanitation, evacuation and emergency response in place. Cleaning and disinfecting with Top Performance 265 antiviral (effective against covid-19) is constant. The playgrounds are open every day that the weather permits so the air is fresh, not recycled. We take every precaution to prevent contagions. Unfortunately, they are still possible. Follow this link to read all about the recommendations and procedures we follow in order to provide the best care possible for your pet.
According to the recommendation of the AVMA, we have put in place an evacuation plan as follows;
In the event of an emergency which requires us to evacuate the Day Care Center; Through the rear of the building – All dogs will be escorted into the outdoor playground where they will be leashed and secured to the fence farthest from the rear of the building. Through the front of the building – All dogs will be escorted into the lobby where they will be leashed and led to the fence farthest from the rear of the building. They will be safely secured and out of harm’s way should the building become dangerous for any reason. Of course, we hope this never happens but, if it does, we’ll be ready.
In the event of a pet related medical emergency, Veterinary Associates of Cape Cod is the closest animal hospital at 8 minutes away. Emergencies will be transported there. Turn right out of the daycare parking lot. Go straight on Old Main through the light then left on Station Ave. Drive to White’s Path then go right. The hospital is on Commonwealth Ave on the right hand side of White’s Path.
In the event of a client or staff related medical emergency, dial 911. The Fire Station is only 2 blocks away on Old Main. Wait for help to arrive.
